Are we serious of buying an expensive camera

Still having second thought of getting ourselves a semi-pro camera Canon 50D. I have read all the wonderful thing that this camera can produce, and I was thinking about long-term investment in term of lens. S100fs has serve me well and I am quite contented about the photos that it produced. The price of that cam is not that cheap for my case, maybe some of you may think it worth it for a cam like that.
